WATER - SANITATION - HYGIENE

The Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Rotary Action Group (WASH) was formed in 2007 by a group of Rotarians to help clubs and districts with their WASH projects. The group’s primary focus is to develop and support projects that provide sustainable and safe water, sanitation, and hygiene. We believe water is not an end in itself, but rather the means to a better life and livelihood in communities that lack these basic essentials. WASH can assist in many ways, providing clubs and districts with human, technical, and financial advice.

SAVE THE DATE June 3-4, 2021

The 2019 WHO/UNICEF report on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in healthcare facilities (HCFs) outlined the stark inadequacy of WASH services in HCFs around the world, especially in least developed countries. Access to safe WASH is required to prevent and control infections, and ensure safe treatment of patients, staff and families.

Learn about WASH in HCFs and what your club can do to help address this critical issue.
